Warranty Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

1. Coverage

Electrical Repair Tech warrants the workmanship of repairs we perform for 12 months from the invoice date. If the specific repaired component fails due to our workmanship within that period, we will re-repair the unit at no labour charge.

2. Parts

New parts supplied by us carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which may be shorter or longer than 12 months. Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by us.

3. Exclusions

  • Damage from misapplication, overloading, or operation outside nameplate ratings.
  • Water ingress, contamination, corrosion or lightning and power-surge damage.
  • Improper installation, misalignment, belt over-tension or inadequate ventilation.
  • Lack of lubrication or maintenance after the repair.
  • Repairs, modifications or disassembly performed by anyone else.
  • Normal wear items such as brushes, seals and belts.
  • Components we advised should be replaced but that the customer declined.

4. Making a claim

Stop using the equipment and contact us at jef@emotorepair.com or (808) 987-9021 with your invoice number and a description of the failure. Continuing to run a failing motor can void the warranty.

The unit must be returned to our shop for inspection. Transport to and from the shop is the customer’s responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Remedy and limits

Our sole obligation under this warranty is re-repair, or, where re-repair is not practicable, a refund of the amount paid for the failed repair as described in our Refund & Return Policy. We are not responsible for downtime, lost production, removal and reinstallation costs, or other consequential losses.

6. Transferability

This warranty is extended to the original customer named on the invoice and is not transferable unless we agree in writing.
